KICKED OUT OF UNI COS I PUNCHED MY LECTURER!!!!

Gotcha! No, but really, if I could, I would really do it too.
Why?

Ran into Jessica today and we spent a good 20 minutes discussing about how our lecturers say one thing about assessment yet expect something different out of it.

Here's an excerpt from an email from my lecturer.
"Remember, email me (as a MS Word attachment) any handouts you would like printed for thursday - I can leave them for you to collect at the School of Education office on Level 4 of the Social Sciences Building."

I had a question regarding the handout
Hi xxx!!
I missed the last 2 lectures due to family commitments *koff*lie*koff* so I was unable to get any details with regards to the handout.
Are we able to use our powerpoint slides as handouts instead of a microsoft word document?
(Or can I just copy the powerpoint slides onto a microsoft word document instead?)
Thank you!
Judith

My reply from the lecturer
Hi Judith,
This is a surprisingly tricky question because the marking rubric refers to both your powerpoint slides and your handout which seems to suggest that they could be separate and different.

WTFWTFWTFWTF!! WHAT THE FRIGGIN' FUCK? WHERE THE HELL IS THIS MARKING RUBRIC AND HOW COME I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT HUH???! You see what I mean about lecturers telling you one thing but expecting something else entirely from you??!!!!
However, you may not have the time to prepare a separate handout in which case you could just reproduce your powerpoint slides as the handout.
So, it depends on how much time you have and how important it is to you to secure the highest result possible. If you have the time, I would suggest that you play it safe and produce a separate handout for the audience that summarises your presentation, but it is up to you - you have a better idea of your personal constraints and priorities.
Best of luck,
xxx.

Urgh. At least I've only got one more slide to do and I can start on my handout and essay. I just gotta get my handout done asap which isn't that hard. It's basically summarising the powerpoint onto an A4 sheet (double sided??), but before Wednesday??!

Le sigh. Such is the life of a graduating university student.
But.. At least I don't have exams like everyone else! :)
