*emos*

Man.

It would have been such an experience working at Riot! Art and Craft Supplies.
Not only would I get to meet new people and enjoy it, I'd get to learn all about the different craft products the store would have to offer.
Imagine the props I could make with them!!

The manager was so enthusiastic about hiring me!
Even writing "Lovely and friendly" on my resume!

That is until we found out my timetable clashes with the working hours.

Guess who's on CNA again?!

Sailing: S'pore team wins silver in Optimist World Championship

SINGAPORE: Singapore has won silver in the Optimist World Championship’s team racing event in Cagliari, Italy.

Singapore's sailing team is represented by Luke Tan, Rachel Lee, Lionel Low, Russell Kan and Daniella Ng.

After a series of races, Greece won the gold while Ecuador took the bronze.

The individual fleet racing will begin on Monday (July 30) after a day of rest on Sunday. - CNA/ac

YAY! Congratulations Luke!!
You got gold for the ASEAN national competition and now you're representing Singapore as 2nd best team in the world? Nice!!

Haha, seriously, my cousins are all famous. LOL!

I hate how I tend to ramble...

Home? Haha, Not really.
People say home is where the heart is, and my heart's still in Singapore. T_T

Give me a week or so, I'll be changing my mentality. Wahaha.
Freedom! It smells so sweet! :P

Anyway, after five long years I was finally able to celebrate my best friend Sandie's birthday with her. Since the birthday girl didn't blog much about it I won't mention what happened. Those involve should either give a pat on their back for their awesome friendship and support while others should just dig a hole and die in it.

But otherwise, she organised a chalet for her 21st and it totally rocked.
Sand: Sorry I couldn't spend the night though...

But anyway I did explain what happened to my parents and now they know how much my 21st means to me. Maybe that means I'll be back in time to celebrate my 21st in Singapore. xD Chris and Winnie did express interest in getting an invite, >_> and hope it'll be a costume/cosplay one. *dies* Wahaha.

Anyway, airport!
I was 7Kg overweight and I still managed to get on without paying a single cent. Lucky me. The girl at the counter was so nice. <333

Em made a comment about this trip back which I find quite true. xD
I brought both sides of the family together. Haha.

Er Gu (Dad's sister) and the whole family came down. She gave me 4 containers of her homemade pineapple tarts! <3 Yum~~~ I got to tease Mayle about being on Ka-Ching that morning on Kids Central. Bryan, Brenda and Bosco were on tv as well. Haha.

Uncle Louise (Mum's brother) and family came down to say goodbye too. I had only seen them twice this holidays and the last was on my last day in SG. Bryan, the self proclaimed genius got to meet Singapore's Brainiest Kid, Annabeth.

(Yes I know. My family has very famous people. 8D Luke Tan is the sailing champion that made the newspaper. Annabeth won Singapore's Brainiest Kid over all the other brainy ones. Mayle and Edward got on a kids television show. Bosco, Bryan and Brenda got to ride on Mayle's 20 minutes of fame. HAHA)

Uncle Sarbjeet, Auntie Rita, Jack and Ethan made an appearance too. For which I'm really touched because they had only just touched down from London that same morning and they made the trip down to the airport again to see me. <333
Jack's SUPER TALL now! He's only 14 and he's 170cm PLUS? Bryan was so shy. LOL He's 14 too and he's shorter than me. He even had the cheek to tease Luke who's 14 and EVEN shorter. Naughty!

I really really appreciated the chance that was given to me. I had not seen them in almost 4-5 years? Auntie Rita says I'm a bad influence because I taught Jack and Ethan how to worm their way around words to get what they want from her. Haha. I'm not smart but I sure am conniving. >D

OH and speaking about Auntie Rita. Let's talk about my OTHER Auntie Rita from England as well. xD
My auntie's mother-in-law. Hehe.
It's so nice talking to her cos she's all posh and elegant.. Makes me try harder to act like a lady around her. Haha, good thing she's migrated to Singapore then. :P
Did you know that when using utensils or drinking tea in England, you're NOT supposed to stick out your pinky?
Auntie Rita says that most people think it's the right thing to do, but it's actually VERY rude to do so.
I'd so wanna go back to that deviant page where someone corrected me on how it's etiquette to stick it out. Up yours smarty pants. D<

Also I finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on my flight back Saturday in less than 5 hours. PWOOH. Very enjoyable. I liked. 8D

Decadence, I'm so upset that Dramione isn't canon. T_T

First day of uni sucked because I only had one hour of class. Pfft.
But it was good, because I've got 3 friends in it and the lecturer's funny. He got rounder this semester. o_0

My family is hilarious

I personally think my family is so funny and full of shit sometimes. xD

Here's a convo I had with my sister in the supermarket yesterday, much to the chagrin of my mother.

Me: "Hey look! They DO sell tampons here!" *points*
Mum: *glares*
Me: "Woah! But that's HUGE! O.o That's like bigger than the maxi one!"
Emily: "OMG! How can someone stick something so big in their vagina?!"
Mum: *glares some more"
Me: =__= "Emily, how do you think babies are made?"
Emily: "Oh yeah hor, a penis is so much bigger."
Mum: *walks away*

LMAO. Best thing was this mother and her little daughter was right next to us and she looked so embarrassed. Wahaha!

And this conversation in the car on the way to the dentist today.

Dad: "Eh Ju, how old are you this year?"
Me: "Huh? 21. Why?"
Mum: "In December."
Dad: "Oh, you're going to get money on your birthday.."
Me: "EH from who?!"
Mum: "Insurance, but very little one lah."
Dad: "Actually I should take it away, or else you will use it to buy cosplay costumes."
Mum: "Hahahaha"
Me: "Huh? How much? Little?"
Dad: "20."
Mum: "$20K lah."
Me: "OMG $20K IS LITTLE?!"
Dad: "$20K, what can you buy in Singapore?"
Me+Mum: "A lot of cosplay costumes."

LOL.
Apparently it's some insurance policy on the life insurance my Dad got for me 2 years back.
I don't even know the details. LOL. But mum says I'm not getting it. T________T
I want my cosplay costumesssss. WAHAHA.

Shitshitshit!

Note to self: Do not use hot glue while watching a DVD. You burn yourself.

And now I have a new scar on my knee. Argh.
And I screwed up my belt for Bianchi. Going out with mum later on, hopefully I can find another one to replace the ruined one.
Still need to finish my props for Bianchi. I MUST finish it by tonight.

Jinta's bat is 70% done and it's looking great! Weeh.

So, how much do YOU love noodles? 8D
Cyanide and Happiness, a daily webcomic
Cyanide & Happiness @ Explosm.net

I find that so hilarious. Haha.
Reminds me of American Pie. *sniggers*

Anywho.. Had lunch out with the grandparents, godma, aunt and the China relatives.
SUSHI at Nihon Mura, you know.. the 99c per plate of sushi?

Totally yum. However, the service there at Revenue House was so bad.
What's with the long wait for our food? Geez. And that woman kept mixing up the table numbers! Geez.
I wouldn't be surprised if they had actually given our food to a different table. *glares*

Got a new bag from the Pasar Malam at Toa Payoh courtesy of my aunt, "Santarina Claus" as dubbed by my mum. Haha.
I'm so loving it! I doubt it'll break like my old one did, and it's the same brand too! From Club 69. <3

Dined with the peeps from UQ's SSS, it was nice catching up with them~
Rhonda, Gideon, Harnam, Jamie, Anthony and Andy. Thanks for turning up guys!

Blood+ photoshoot!

Today's photoshoot was one of the most fun photoshoots I've ever had. Haha, probably because what happened before and after and all. xD

Met up with Kyoist at Newton mrt, she was waiting for me at the front of the train, in full costume, with a semi circle of people around her, trying to keep away from her yet staring at her at the same time. WEIRDOS!! xD

Kyoist cosplayed as Solomon, myself as Mao.
We must have looked pretty suspicious because at City Hall, some train security officer stepped in and sat opposite us and STARED. LMAO.

Even better, at Redhill mrt, we were walking towards the taxt stand, and just as we were about to reach the only taxi waiting there, THE DRIVER SPED AWAY!!!

LMAO.

The shoot itself was awesome. The venue was so scenic, with so many different backdrops to make use of. Thanks Usagi for recommending the place! =D

Vivo city was HORRIBLE!!! There were so many perverts and assholes who are so damn obvious at trying to grab indecent photos of Lenneth in her Diva costume.

HELLO?! It's a FULL LENGTH dress, what indecent photos are you going to get? URGH.
We were so pissed off, we stormed right up to them and stood in front of their shot.
Grr. And some girl recognised us as Blood+ cosplayers, well, everyone except me. >_>

Anywho, just a big shoutout to Alex, Hayami, Zettai and Usagi for being our photogs today.
Oh and zettai, thank you so much for the delicious lunch.
A big thank you to Lenneth, Kyoist and Shizuka for being such awesome cosplayers and such fun people to hang out with.

I'll let the piccies do the talking when they come out. =)
Oh and know what? I now have a tan line. =__=

Gah.

I have a photoshoot tomorrow at 8.30am and I'm still awake watching some Chinese horror movie on Channel 8. xD

I've been meaning to blog about a lot of shit but everytime I open my blog to update, nothing comes to mind and I just don't have the mood to blog anymore. xD

Went to watch Transformers the movie today and HOLY SHIT it was totally kickass!
Bumblebee is DEFINITELY my favourite character in the movie and this is a definite must have movie on DVD.

Either I'm gonna download it or I'm gonna get the DVD. Haha..
Collected my Mao costume today for tomorrow's shoot.
Tailor auntie mentioned that she had called my home before calling my mobile.
Mum picked it up and thought she was some crazy person or someone until auntie mentioned that she was my tailor. LOL.

Urgh. I told tailor auntie that my mum would definitely kill me when I came home, and lo and behold..
"Where did you go today?" "Did you go to Chinatown?"
"What costume is it?" "Why must you go to the dressmaker?"

ARRRRGGGH! *pulls hair*
Even Emily spoke up for me regarding the interrogation.
I mean, GEEZ, Mum doesn't even make any noise about Ben's PAINTBALLING expenditures. *glares*
And FYI ma, I'm using my OWN money to pay for my clothes, I had a small part time job in Australia. HAPPY?

And then she had to bring up the topic about photoshoots too!
Urgh. I already told you that the shoots are in the morning, meaning I still can go to grandma's right?! Grrr.

Man, mum's are SO ANNOYING sometimes. >_>
