Cosfest 2006

Cosfest was total fun! It was my first time leading a team and everything went well. Sadly, we didn't win the competition, but we had fun. Treasure every single moment spent with Kuroichou. I love you guys.

The chalet was fun! Finished everything off before we played Yoshi's gamecube! I PWN everyone as Kirby! LOL. And because of that, no one slept at all.

Mizuki!Tousen dedicated Endless Story to the team! And we supported her from afar by waving our weapons, props and hands~ There's actually a video of it on youtube! Haha... Mizuki, we love you. I had such a hard time trying not to cry. =3

I didn't manage to take any pictures at all! Mainly because we were all too busy posing. So I had to take pictures from other people.

To my dear Kuroichou,

So much has happened since we began. From a mere rebound team of less than 10 members, we grew to a number of 41 that astounded everyone including myself.

Being with Kuroichou has changed everything for me. You have all become like a second family to me. Mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, friends. Thank you so much for sticking around. We did it. We pwned our way through Cosfest as the biggest cosplay team to ever set foot in an event.

We overcame all the hurdles that were thrown our way. In disagreeing with others, we managed to strengthen our team unity. From costumes going haywire, we had fun at the the tailors instead. From having no weapons at all, I can only thank ShinobiBleahhh for his effort. We had so much fun. Our sushi outings, Burger King outings, anything that involved going out with fellow team members! They're truly a force to be reckoned with.

There may have been times when some of us couldn't cope with the stress of leading or being in a huge team such as ourselves. But we stuck through. And I am proud of EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU.

You all put in so much effort into your own costumes and helping each other out. It was great, just seeing everyone working together like that.

Remember the bonds shared between us, for they cannot be broken.
United in strength, divided we fall.
We may not have won the best team, but at least we enjoyed ourselves!
I don't regret a single moment of being in this team.
I have 40 new friends and am proud to say, I AM A MEMBER KUROICHOU.

Ariki, Shihouin Yoruichi jr.:
As my co-leader and leader in stead while I was away, you did a wonderful job of running the team. I know it must been stressful knowing you were busy with studies and had your mum breathing down your neck. =) But, you did great. You made a wonderful Yoruichi-sama! Miaow~ Did I mention your wig was such an awesome colour? You and Kyoist SHOULD have won that WCS competition. After all, you guys spoke for the rest of Singapore, not for yourselves. =)

ShinobiBleahhh, Zaraki Kenpachi:
Words can't express the gratitude I have. Should you decide to quit being a policeman, you should turn to making props. Seriously, you did a really wonderful job that everyone was amazed by it. Edward loves your sword especially, saying it looks difficult to make. Thank you so much for helping Ariki to run the team in my stead. I know you had to take a lot of time out of your personal schedule to make the weapons, make multiple tailor trips and get our team shirts printed. On the upside, you make a wonderful Zaraki. Your eyepatch, your costume, YOUR WIG!! I especially love your wig. You beat every other Zaraki I've seen. Hands down.

Harunouta, Matsumoto Rangiku:
You want pain? Try wearing a corset. Haha... Haru-mama. I know that being a family woman like yourself would make it so hard to take time off to come to meetings and rehearsals. But thank you all the same for taking charge of wigs, buying of cloth and especially the makeup. It definitely takes a load off everyone's shoulders that makeup's settled. Outings out with you are definitely fun, and all the more brighter with a little fun and joy. *wink* Thank you for deciding to join the team, I really appreciate it. By the way, your Matsumoto was SEX-HAY~ BOOBIES~ You got it, flaunt it. Don't have it, why bother right? You were wonderful.

Nichol, Kusajishi Yachiru:
Like Harunouta, I owe you thanks for helping out with wigs, buying of cloth, makeup and the script. ESPECIALLY THE SCRIPT! I'm so sorry we had to change that last bit at the last moment... >_<. I know it's been tough for you with your personal matters and all, but thank you so much for helping out the best you could. Your bubbly personality and yaoi-ness made all outings out with you so fun. You made such an adorable Yachiru with that cheery smile of yours. Your wig was perfect and so like her hair. AND don't think I didn't notice, you drew your eyebrows. You were great. Usagi-san, Kurosaki Isshin:
I know that since you were involved in the SCC, you couldn't be considered part of the team. But you still helped out with stuff in the beginning. Helping Ariki run the team, helping ShinobiBleahhh with the organisation of the chalet. Tons of stuff. Thanks Usagi, for your help in Kuroichou. Appreciate it! You made a cool Isshin!

You were one of the last people that joined the team. And I still remember the sms izumiyavi sent me, "Chibi, my friend wants to join the team." I was horrified! Because that meant more tailor trips, more cloth buying, more additions to Nanao's book and more undue stress. Haha, but guess I was wrong. You're a great member in the team, helping out with whatever needs to be done (although I heard you were slacking at Pacifica_Yuki's house. xD) You make a wonderful Ichinose Maki, even if he's just a filler character and not much of his personality shows, you pulled him off excellently.

aisubeki, Kuchiki Byakuya:
You made such a wonderful Byakuya! Your hairpiece! Oh my gosh!! Wonderful job you did on them, they were perfect! I remember how everyone was throwing ideas around at the chalet to help it sit firmly on your head. Putty, hairpins, superglue, double sided tape! LOL. Don't forget to thank your grandmother for making your scarf!! You're the best Byakuya ever.

Alan, Yasutora Sado:
Standing at what was it? 180cm? I wonder if people actually knew you were Sado. There was another Sado at Cosfest I saw, but you were so much better. The wig, the coin and THE HEIGHT!! Yay!! Isn't it funny how I got you to join the team? Just randomly popped out over msn and wa-lah! You were coming down to the meeting at Toa Payoh! Thanks so much for taking time off from your exams and helping out! You're a lifesaver, ferrying us to Cosfest and back to the chalet again chauffering people and driving us back to get forgotten stuff. You totally rock! 100% Yasutora Sado, hands down! By the way, despite you being in the 2% of population with top IQ, you still forgot to pay me back my 40+ bucks. xD Don't think I don't know you're in MENSA!! =P

Asuka, Yamada Hanatarou:
It's a pity that I didn't get to speak much with you except over msn and via sms-es. Don't know much about you except for the fact that you love KFC mashed potatoes!! Yummy!! Potato Hana. Heehee. You make such a cute Hanatarou. I swear, if there EVER is a Bleach musical in Singapore, you could play the role. Did I mention that I love your bag!!! People had better have taken pictures of it!! It was amazing! You make a wonderful Hanatarou.

beachcookiesg, Unohana Retsu:
*pouts* Isn't it a shame that we didn't get to make Minazuki float? But anyway, you made such a great Unohana despite of that! The braid was wonderful and you looked so refined in your costume!! Did you take out your vest to show off your obi-jime? It was exquisitely done!! 100% Unohana Retsu, you win hands down as THE BEST I've ever laid eyes on. By the way, those Chinatown outings were FUN!! We have to do it again someday. =)

Charmaine, Kuchiki Hisana:
Dare I say, you're the first Hisana cosplayer to every appear in Singapore! You made Aisubeki the most noble Byakuya there with you at her side. Your obi-jime was lovely as well, and the material and details of your haori was so beautiful. You should have taken a close up shot of it, just to show it off!! You're a wonderful girl at heart, and it's been great knowing you.

chibi imouto, Tsumugiya Ururu:
Ah, my dear 'lil sister. How can you, who is cosplaying Ururu make such a big mistake as calling your character Uruuru? xD Thank god you didn't mispronounce it on stage. Thanks for ditching your Spongebob cosplayfor an easier one like Ururu. I had such a hard time looking for your clogs and painting it. Thank mum for helping with your broom too. Now we've got an extra broom at home we can use. The crowd loved you I'm sure. Didn't you hear them laughing when you came out sweeping on stage? But respect to you for being able to carry Ururu's machine gun, make sure you thank ShinobiBleahhh for it!! Now, go sweep the floor.

chibimeli, Inoue Orihime:
You owe me $15! LOL. Haha... You made such a cute Orihime, skipping around during rehearsals. Unfortunately I was stuck backstage so I couldn't see you. But even then, you still were a wonderful Orihime. From the wig, to the uniform and the *cough*boobs*cough*. Hee. *pinches cheeks* YOU ARE SO KYOOT! We need to go for more outings together!! I really miss them~ Just squealing over random stuff!! Haha...

Chichiri, Aizen Sousuke:
Isn't it funny how we only met the day before Cosfest yet we sorta got along so well like we'd been on many outings already? Hahaha... Poor you, having to curl your hair the night before. Well, technically I guess we could say it was the morning before Cosfest. I think 80% of us at the chalet didn't sleep at all! xD But yeah, you made a wonderful Aizen!! Your "flip hair" action was WOOOOOH! You did a great job!!

Edmund, Kyouraku Shunsui:
I can't believe you went along with the "kissy kissy" action!! I'm sure the female audience got a kick outta that! I got to say though, that was a wicked job you did on the haori and your swords!! You made a perfect Shunsui! And it's almost scary how in character you can get sometimes. >_> Hahaha, it was great cosplaying with you!! Now you get your ass down to that sushi outing!! xD

Edward, Kon:
Firstly, my thanks have to go out to my auntie who allowed Edward to come for the cosplay. Don't you guys think he was PERFECT for the role?? He looked so lost at some point during the event! And... gave me a few heart attacks by running away from imouto and I INTO THE CROWD! *faints* How to find a little kid in a crowd of thousands?? Haha... But yesh. Edward was the most adorable Kon ever, who had everyone in the team wrapped around his little finger, I mean paw. xD

Elie-3173, Kira Izuru:
Hey Eileen! Thanks so much for the work you've done in the team. I know your sewing machine broke down again and you still had to get the ZPT bags done. Thank you!! You made a great Kira, and Kyoisthez did a great job with your wig!! Have faith in yourself, you can do it!! =)

Eva-, Urahara Kisuke:
Should you decide to cosplay again, please do Hard Gay. xD It's almost scary to see Urahara doing it. But yes, you've got Urahara's personality DOWN TO A TEE! So much so it's freaky. Haha... Thanks for joining the team!! And stop smoking!! LOL

Mimi-sama, thank you for helping run the rehearsals as PM!! It took a whole load off my shoulders!! You made a wonderful Miyako!! Bet your husband is pleased. xD You are evil though. Always spreading the Y-virus around! Even I got infected!! Hmph! Hahaha...

Zuzu, you were so sweet looking and your makeup was so good!! You made such an adorable Hinamori! I swear you looked exactly like her. =) Great job!! And don't worry, the haircut was good and you looked perfect. Aizen is pleased, but you should go look for Hitsugaya instead. Haha...

Ken, Ishida Uryuu:
Two words. WICKED BOW!! One of the most eye-catching props!! It was so accurate, you did a marvelous! Too bad it broke at the end of Cosfest, hope you can fix it!! I admire your cosplay spirit, actually spoiling a usable pair of shoes by painting? the blue cross over it. Kudos to you!! (And cute pjs. xD)

Daijoubu, you were a great Rukia, don't think otherwise. =) It's been fun knowing you, the msn convos, that last Chinatown outing! LOL. Remember how Harunouta was styling your wig in the middle of MacDonalds?? Funny, too funny.

Wuwu, you were one of the very last to join, yet you helped out so much with the team. You have my eternal gratitude!! It's amazing how we bonded in such a short period of time!!
