For the comfort of people

For the comfort of my parents who are constantly worrying about me...
Here's a post that should put them at ease.

Today, woke up. Read through my STATs notes for the lecture. Went for the lectures. Had a 2 hour break in between. Went to buy a textbook to help with my MATHs. Went to the library to revise MATHs. Went for the practical for STATs.

Went home. Studied a bit. Took a short nap. Studied again.
Went out for dinner with SSS people celebrating Auntie Christine's birthday.

Came back, showered, studied some more and is now blogging.
Ok done. Going to bed. Nite nite

Yo! Hisashiburi!

Hisashiburi!! It's been a long time since I blogged yeah??

Been quite busy, from running around doing errands for the club, to watching movies on Tuesday. It's been fun! :)

Was at Uncle Martin's and Auntie Christine's yesterday celebrating their 34th wedding anniversary. I got them a mug each and handpainted it myself. Feeling quite accomplished with it. Because they both loved it a lot.

The theme was formal, seeing there was going to be a renewal of their wedding rites, a potluck and some dancing. Seems like every activity the clubs are doing now invovles dancing. Haha...

Jamie looked real smart in his suit. >.< Kakkoi!! Heehee.. I snapped a few sneaky pictures of him because the happily married couple happened to be right in front of him. Sheeheeheehee!!!

I might have been thinking too much though, because I thought I saw him looking at me a few times. Like when Auntie Christine asked me how I was going back, I could see him looking at me out of the corner of my eye. Was I dreaming?? I wasn't sure.

But this morning when I checked my email, lo and behold!! There was an email from him!!!! I hadn't replied his last one yet and poof, here in my inbox was another one!!!

Musings of a fox

Should I or should I not run for SSS president?

Lately, the Singapore events have really broadened my social circle. Got to know so many people over a short period of time. If I do run for president and get the post, I might be able to interact with the QUT and Griffith people more, not only that, Uncle Martin and the other adults as well.

It would truly be a wonderful experience.

But would it clash with my current workload?

More pictures!!

The Ekka holiday was totally awesome!! I actually promised myself that this year I wouldn't go to the Ekka. But then everyone seemed to be going so I had to go!! Didn't win anything this year. Felt horrible. Poo.

But I had tons of fun!! Sat on the bumper cars twice, ate ice cream, took tons of pictures!! It was totally fun!!

Went together with Isabel, Karin, Syam and Mina. But later I went off with the SSS people!! Priscilla, Zahiah, Mazlan, Rhonda, Anthony, Wayne, Robbie and Ju-anne! Ju-anne's like a big sister to me now! ^^ We're the 2 Ju's. Ju 1 and Ju 2. Wayne just had to tweak it a little... to become Ju On and Ju Off. XD

The fireworks were awesome, there was a motorbike show with the guys doing stunts in the air and all. Really really heart stopping action!! And the 4 Holden cars looked so red and shiny, with them doing all those different stunts without crashing, the drivers were PRO!!

Celebrated Jamie's 27th at Uncle Martin's on Friday night. Was an American theme, and everyone was supportive in it by turning up American style. Thanks Lysha for lending me your top! Jamie complimented me!~ -^^- Wore my pink cowboy hat to top it off! :P Anthony was your average cheerleader, only with huge boobs and overly done makeup. Hahaha..., Unfortunately, Wayne didn't come as the Statue of Liberty. :) Darn. The night was awesome and we partied till just after 1.

Big night out with a visit to my aunt's place the next day. Haha...

Such a busy weekend!

It's been such a busy weekend for me!

First there was clubbing. But I already told you about that didn't I. Told you about my BEOH too yeah? Hahaha...

Well, did I tell you about the Dikir Barat practice Friday night?? My BEOH was there too! And I flirted with him a little. :P So happy! Heehee... o>.
Anyway... Saturday was the National Day Dinner and Dance. It was so awesome!! Apparently, everyone in the committee's already found out about my crush on... Jamie Tsukakoshi.
This is what Michelle said, "You want a guy to f*ck?" XD

But it was so awesome, everyone was giving me advice and telling me good luck and stuff!! (: Thanks ya'll!

Danced with him later on, and we managed to form a group pairing to dance with. We would swing in, then swing out... We did that a couple of times when suddenly Jamie stopped so we were doing it out of time. I was wondering why, when he suddenly spun me out into the center before spinning me back into his arms!!! O.O
I was in total shock and everyone else was going "WOOOOOAH~"

So embarrassing!!!! >.<

And I did something I had never EVER done before. I asked him for his number... He gave me his email though, because he said he was leaving Australia at the end of September for Singapore. T.T Least it's not America...

Saturday afternoon, headed to Uncle Martin's house in Luke's car with Lysha for high tea with the Director of the Singapore International Foundation. At first I was hesitant on going, but then I heard that Jamie was going. ^>_<^ Hurhur!!

Later on, I truly lived up to my nickname of the fox. =P I told Lysha and Luke to go off earlier, so I could take Jamie's car. XDDD I am truly so cunning!!!

Harnam, Nadia, Bernard and I all bundled in, and in the end, I was the last to be dropped off!!! d^-^b

Happy happy weekend for me!!!

Mambo

Mambo dance party RAWKED!!

I didn't have to pay to get in, I got free drinks and I had fun!! Plus there was this guy I beoh'ed on and I'm getting to see again on Saturday at the dinner...

Really like him leh... And he's great in pool. And what's more!!! His dad is jap, mum's Singaporean and he's an ABC!!! -squee-

Cool ne?

Anyway... I had my first tequila shot and I've got the shot glass to prove it!! (Took it with me... Hahaha...) I have to say, it was more potent than vodka/something, (never tried vodka shot before, might try it one day) and the aftertaste was just burning in my throat!! Thank you Harnam for shouting me~! ^^

Scored a free drink just by talking to a guy! Hahaha... Was just chatting to Yao-Yang when his friend came up to us with 2 vodka limes, grinned at Yao-Yang and handed him the drinks. Hahaha... I think his friend probably thought we were together or something. XD So funny!!! Not that I'm complaining, I got a free drink! Only thing now is that my reputation is ruined!! I'm no longer seen as a single girl. LOLz.

Anyways, speaking of that guy I like... Heehee... I told Lysha that he was "lookable" and she agreed, saying he looked quite cute at the barbeque on Saturday as well. ^^ I told him I wanted to dance with him!! OH MY GOD! What the friggin' hell was I thinking?? I have NEVER asked a guy to dance with me before!!! He was about to play a game of pool though, so I stuck around and watched for a little while. Man, he is GOOD!!! So unfair... Hahaha...

Sigh... I seriously don't know what to think sia... I feel like telling him I like him orh~ >.< How!! *shakes head*

In the library now, STAT2004 lecture was cancelled because our lecturer is sick. So now our assignment that was due today is now due next Tuesday. w00t! *grinz*

There was a stupid couple sitting in front of me in my morning lecture and they were freaking annoying!! They kept hugging each other, holding hands, kissing each other's cheeks or head. Urgh! GET A FREAKING ROOM!!! >.< But then, I saw a tear DROP off the guy's face and I was like "WOAH!" Something's going on!! Hahaha...

I am SUCH a freaking busybody. :P

Bleah.

Assignments, assignments, assignments. Bleah...

Managed to get half of one done. The other half's just working out the problems. I've already got the solution. Heex. ^^ That's 20% of my final grade down for the count for MATH 2302. Cool eh!! w00t!!

MATH 2100 weekly tutorial sheet due tomorrow. Not sure how to do. Bleah. Will ask my friends for help.

STAT 2004 assignment... Only 2 questions left!!! Not too difficult though. I've got most of it done. Pretty good.

MATH 2000 big assignment due next Friday and I haven't started yet. WHY? BECAUSE MY LECTURER IS ONE STUPID DUMBASS WHO DECIDED TO TELL US THAT THE ASSIGNMENT JUST CAME UP ONLINE TODAY!!! THAT'S WHY!

Clubbing tomorrow. ^^
I have to be there. Because I'm a committee member, part of the events too. Besides, I invited my friends to come, I have to go and entertain them. ^^

National Day Dinner and Dance, 13th August 7.30pm, Holiday Inn $25 (for performers, that's me!)
Singapore International Foundation (SIF) organised a National Day Dinner and Dance, theme: Back to the 60's. The SSS and SSA committee members plus a few adults are performing the Dikir Barat. (sp?? haha...) Should be fun! ^^

I can't help but feel so accomplished nowadays.

Even with my fanfiction stories on temporary hiatus, I still get tons of reviews asking me to update soon, telling me how great my stories are.

First event for Semester 2!

Happy belated birthday Dheepa! ^^
Celebrated Dheepa's birthday at JoJo's yesterday night. It was super crowded and the restaurant was so busy! Rita had organised the gathering, even booked a table at JoJo's but the stupid staff gave it away. Made us wait for it to be 'CLEARED'. SUUUUURE!

Lysha and I were supposed to donate blood yesterday, but I just caught the flu bug (yes, again) and the clinical staff didn't want me spreading it around. So waited around for Lysha to finish before we headed back to Indooroopilly where we spied on the cute barbers, went on a shopping spree. Lysha = shopping spree. Me = Window shopping. I saw this awesome tank top that had this glittery butterfly on it. It was a high cut bottom one, meaning it shows the midriff and had two holes on either side. It was soo pretty!! But it was $30. >.< I want to buy it!!!! *whines*

Had our first event for the Singapore Students Society today. Our welcome barbecue for all the members. It was pretty good, after a few hot dogs and Bjorn's awesome chicken wings, the guys and a few of us girls gathered around to play Monkey with the soccer ball. Hahaha... I got stuck as monkey a couple of times for SO long!! I totally suck.

National day dance and dinner and Mambo dance party is coming up soon. What to wear!!!

Sashiburi!

It's been a long time since I've blogged. Busy weekend, assignments, catching up with lectures, long days... Sigh...

Visited Xiaogu and the family last weekend, picked the boys up from school because I didn't have tutorials on Friday. Whoopee. Xiaogu and Uncle Al gave me a lot to think about on my future. What am I going to do after I graduate?

I know I want to become a teacher. But I can't do a dual degree in Education at uni because I haven't got enough credits to get in. I need to have done at least 8 2nd and 3rd year courses in a first major (eg. Maths) and 5 2nd and 3rd year courses in a second major. I'm sure I can do it for the first one, but what about the second? I've done Biology, Chemistry and Physics. But they're neither here nor there and it's all first year subjects.

That means university's out. I could go back to Singapore after my degree and get a diploma in Education from NIE, that's what I had actually planned to do. But Xiaogu and Uncle Al said, I have the chance to stay here in Australia, get a PR status and get my diploma in Education. Because if I return to Singapore, all my options close. Whereas, in Australia, not only is it open, I have more options to choose from.

Like perhaps being able to teach here for a few years and then decide to go to London. That would be such an awesome experience. Besides, Auntie Rita and Uncle Sarbjeet are there with Jack and Ethan.

I really have to start thinking about my future. Which will I choose...
